Volume 4 · Limits
The fourth volume: limits, in two parts each numbered from 1 as in the notes. Limits of sequences: properties and limits, computing limits, Euler's number, comparisons and asymptotic estimates, hierarchies of infinities and the ratio test, recursive sequences. Limits of functions and continuity: limits and asymptotes, computing limits, polynomials and rational functions, continuous functions, comparison of infinities, standard limits, asymptotic expansions, the zeros theorem and bisection, Weierstrass and intermediate value theorems, monotone functions and invertibility. The exercises, with solutions, are in the volume Exercises 4.

The fifth volume: differential calculus. The derivative function, derivatives of elementary functions, corner points and cusps, rules of differentiation, the mean value theorem, maxima and minima, L'Hôpital's rule, the second derivative, approximations and Taylor's formula, curve sketching, Newton's method. Definitions, theorems with proofs, graphs and worked examples; the exercises of the part, with solutions, are in the volume Exercises 5.
