Interactive lab

Here you can get your hands on mathematics. Each graph has sliders: every coefficient has its own color, the same in the slider and in the formula, so you immediately see what does what. The ▶ button next to a coefficient makes it move by itself; in some graphs the Challenge tab shows a target curve to reproduce.

How to use it

Drag the sliders, or click ▶ for the animation. On the graph you can pan by dragging with two fingers (or with the mouse) and zoom with Shift + mouse wheel. Each graph also appears in the chapter of the notes it refers to.

  • Numbers — complex n-th roots
  • Functions — graph transformations, oscillations, powers, exponentials and logarithms
  • Limits — limit of a sequence, Heron, bisection
  • Derivatives — tangent, Lagrange, concavity, Taylor, Newton
  • Series — geometric series, generalized harmonic series
  • Integrals — Riemann sums
